Our Chroma range harnesses the core functionality of materials alongside pioneering production technology and the Women's Merino Long Sleeve Base Layer is a prime example of this.
We are one of the first cycling brands in the market to utilise innovative Nuyarn spinning technology to bring you an optimal warmth to weight ratio on your rides. The unique spinning process essentially optimises the characteristics of Merino wool by creating a looser twist that can better catch air. As a result, the highest quality performance fabric is achieved, which is stretchier, lighter, warmer and faster drying. In addition, durability is vastly improved as the spin structure provides 50% higher tensile strength than normal Merino and 50% better abrasion and pilling resistance compared to ring or core-spun Merino wool. Nuyarn technology also uses 30% less raw material and 25% less energy than traditional spinning methods.
The blend of Merino and nylon feels soft against your skin and stretches with your body, so you can move freely. This base layer makes for an ideal pairing for, and fits perfectly beneath, the men’s and women’s Mono Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey.
This base layer is made with 56% nylon, 40% Merino wool and 4% elastane.
The fabric is knitted using innovative Nuyarn technology: the world’s first spinning technology that releases the natural performance characteristics of wool fibre twisted out by traditional spinning methods.
